SuiteDash alternatives: 6 simpler client portals

Six SuiteDash alternatives ranked by setup time and feature breadth. Get a client portal live in an hour instead of a week, without losing the CRM + invoicing combo.

By ClientNest365 team · Published · 6 min read

SuiteDash is the all-in-one workhorse of the client-portal segment. For $19 / month on the Start plan, you get CRM, a client portal, invoicing, scheduling, project management, file sharing, and an extreme-white-label option that lets you ship a custom-branded mobile app. By feature surface alone, no competitor at any price floor matches it. The trade-off is also documented in every G2 and Capterra review: setup is heavy. The product covers so much ground that configuration decisions cascade. A 5-person agency typically spends 20 to 40 hours over their first two weeks getting SuiteDash to fit their practice. By month two, most teams either love it (deep integration) or bounce off it (never finished setup).

The six alternatives below are organized by which SuiteDash pain point they solve.

Six alternatives at a glance

Tool Floor Realistic in-use The SuiteDash pain it solves
HoneyBook $36 / mo $109-129 / mo Setup is faster, brand is more polished
Dubsado ~$28 / mo ~$44 / mo Stronger workflow builder
Copilot $59 / mo $189 / mo Premium client-side UX, less configuration
Moxo $0 Free $99 / mo AI-first, free start
ClientNest365 €15 one-off €15-300 / year Portal-only, no CRM bloat, no subscription
Plain Drive + tools $0-40 / mo $40-80 / mo When you don't need CRM at all

1. HoneyBook

Source: honeybook.com/pricing.

HoneyBook covers most of SuiteDash's surface area (CRM, portal, invoicing, scheduling) with a faster onboarding and a more polished US-creative brand. Post 2025 price hike: $29 / mo (annual Starter) to $129 / mo (monthly Premium).

Where it wins vs SuiteDash: time-to-first-client measured in hours, not days. Visual brand is current-decade. Larger template marketplace.

Where it loses: February 2025 price hike of 63-89% across tiers (full breakdown in HoneyBook alternatives). Less white-label depth. No custom-branded mobile app at any tier.

2. Dubsado

Source: dubsado.com/pricing.

If your SuiteDash complaint is "the automation builder is fine but I want more depth," Dubsado is the trade. Annual pricing: $335 / yr ($28 / mo) Starter, $525 / yr ($44 / mo) Premier.

Where it wins: workflow builder is more flexible than SuiteDash's, especially for branching logic (if this form answer, then this contract; if that answer, then a different contract).

Where it loses: UI is dated. Starter is severely capped (one lead form). Full evaluation in Dubsado alternatives.

3. Copilot

Source: copilot.com/pricing.

Copilot trades feature breadth for execution depth on the parts it does. Visually the closest in the space to Notion or Linear. Built-in AI Assistant on Professional ($189 / mo) and above.

Where it wins: the client-side experience is the cleanest premium UX in the segment. Setup is fast because the product scope is intentionally narrow. AI is bundled, not an add-on.

Where it loses: Starter at $59 is the highest entry price. No project-management surface (where SuiteDash covers it). No EU data hosting.

4. Moxo

Source: moxo.com/pricing.

Moxo's wedge against SuiteDash is the free tier. Two flows, 500 AI credits, full feature access at $0. Business at $99 / mo for 10 flows and 2,000 AI credits.

Where it wins: real free tier (run an actual portal at $0), native AI on every tier, on-prem deployment available at Enterprise.

Where it loses: "flow quota" creates unpredictable upgrade pressure. Pro at $499 / mo is steep for SMB. Less white-label than SuiteDash.

5. ClientNest365 (no subscription)

Pricing: €15 (3 clients), €35 (10), €75 (25), €150 (50), €300 (100), €500 (unlimited for a year). Add-ons: storage from €3, white-label €10, custom domain €20.

This is our product. We're listing it because we solve a specific SuiteDash complaint: "I'm paying $19 / month every month and I only have 8 active clients." For low-volume practices, the per-client model is significantly cheaper. We're also a portal-only product, not a CRM, so there's no bloat to configure.

Clean client list with status, storage usage, and last-activity columns. No CRM tabs to configure.

What we cover: per-client workspaces, magic-link auth, versioned files with signed download links, approvals as audited objects, in-portal invoicing, scoped messaging, deadline tracking, full audit trail, white-label branding, mobile-first interface, AI concierge.

What we don't cover (where SuiteDash beats us): no CRM, no project management surface, no scheduling, no automation builder at SuiteDash's depth. We're deliberately narrower.

Where it wins vs SuiteDash: setup is measured in 10 minutes, not 20 hours. No monthly fee. No risk of overnight repricing.

Where it loses: if you need an integrated CRM with lead capture and pipeline, we're not it. SuiteDash is.

If portal-only fits, open a free 3-client workspace for €15.

6. Drive + Stripe + Bonsai (the no-CRM stack)

Cost: ~$40-60 / mo combined for a working configuration.

Some SuiteDash users land here because their actual need was "share files with clients, send invoices, get signatures" and the CRM was overhead they paid for and didn't use. A Drive folder, Stripe invoicing, and Bonsai or HelloSign for signatures covers it.

The trade-off: three logins for the client, no unified audit trail, no scoped per-client messaging. The client portal vs file-sharing guide goes deep on when this is enough and when it isn't.

When SuiteDash is actually the right pick

To be fair to SuiteDash: it remains the best answer for a specific shape of firm.

  • You have 20+ active engagements at any time
  • You run a multi-stage CRM pipeline (leads → qualified → proposal → won → onboarded)
  • You bill 5+ team members across the same client base
  • You want the cheapest fully-loaded all-in-one and you have a week to configure it
  • You want a custom-branded mobile app and don't want to pay enterprise pricing for it

If three or more of those describe your practice, the configuration time is worth it. Stay on SuiteDash.

If two or fewer describe you, the alternatives above are usually better fits.

How to evaluate quickly

Block 30 minutes and answer three questions in writing:

  1. What's the one feature I open SuiteDash for most? (Portal? Invoicing? CRM pipeline? Scheduling?)
  2. What's the one feature I never use? (Likely whichever you can't name without looking.)
  3. If I built the smallest tool that did just answer-1, would it cost less than $19 / month?

If yes to question 3, you've found your alternative shape. Pick the vendor that does answer-1 deepest.

Migration practicalities

SuiteDash's export is decent: Settings → Tools → Export gives CSVs for contacts, projects, invoices, and files (the files themselves require a separate download). Custom-branded mobile app data is more locked-in because the app is rebuilt per-tenant.

Same parallel-run advice as the other migration guides: don't move all clients at once. Three patient clients, two weeks of dual operation, then bulk migration.
